Wyoming manufacturers have a unique opportunity to help shape the state's future workforce.
The U.S. Department of Labor has made $35.8 million available nationwide to expand advanced manufacturing apprenticeships, and Wyoming is working to establish its first Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) in the manufacturing industry.
Registered Apprenticeship Programs provide businesses with a proven way to develop skilled employees through structured, hands-on training while strengthening Wyoming's manufacturing workforce for years to come.
Participating employers may be eligible to receive $3,500 for each apprentice who successfully completes a 90-day probationary period through the American Manufacturing Apprenticeship Incentive Fund.
Manufacturing apprenticeships can be developed for more than 120 occupations, including automotive, aerospace, supply chain and logistics, automation, defense, biotechnology, and many other manufacturing careers.
