Renee Penton-Jones named President of Wyoming Restaurant and Lodging Association

The Casper Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center is pleased to announce Renee Penton-Jones, the hotel’s general manager and regional director of operations for Regency Hotel Management has accepted the role of president of the Wyoming Restaurant and Lodging Association (WLRA) board. 
The vision of the WLRA is to be the most effective voice and to remain the strongest resource provider for hospitality and tourism in Wyoming.  To serve the interests of the lodging and restaurant industry by working to improve the political, social and economic environment in which it operates.
Renee stated that with the current challenges facing the Wyoming hospitality community, the WLRA is even more critical for its’ members.  She looks forward to working with the lodging, restaurant and tourism industries toward a strong and successful return to a thriving hospitality industry. 
Megan Miller began her role as president of the Wyoming Education Foundation on January 1, 2021. Megan is the director of sales for the Casper Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center.
The foundation was founded in 1999 and operates under the wing of the WLRA.  The foundation oversees the Wyoming Hospitality Alliance Mentoring Program which was created to offer a national school-to-work hospitality program to juniors and seniors in Wyoming high schools. The program is offered in 24 high schools throughout the state and enables over 900 students, each year, the ability to study foodservice management, lodging management and professional baking.  
Megan and her board will be working to continue offering educational opportunities in the wake of the pandemic situation with Wyoming schools.
