As the Medical Records staff you will maintain and organize medical records in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations. This role will adhere to facility policies and procedures, and perform clerical duties. The Medical Records position is responsible for reviewing admission information for accuracy and completeness. This position will organize medical records into established order for permanent filing. The Medical Records person will maintain follow-up of records with deficiencies until record is complete. Upon discharge this role will assemble and review medical records for completeness, ensure receipt of records of residents discharged from facility, and code and quantify records from admission to discharge. The Medical Records will maintain a documented, organized system readily accessible for authorized staff and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Medical Records experience preferred
- Excellent time management, organization and attention to detail skills
