Survival on the plains sparked innovation in the kitchen. Pioneers’ food preparations faced unique difficulties. Limited supplies, bison chip fires, abundant insects, and unique delicacies resulted in both well fed and ill fed travelers. Join interpreters in the discovery of the trials of cooking on the plains.
