Science education in Wyoming is going to look very different with the passage of the Wyoming State Science Standards in 2016.
This workshop is for elementary school teachers to develop skills and knowledge to lead hands-on STEM activities in their classrooms. We will review the new Wyoming Science Standards and work through activities in four science content areas: physical science, life science, earth and space science, and engineering and technology.
Participants will leave with ideas to implement immediately and materials, tools, and resources to help integrate STEM education with other subjects such as language arts, math, social studies, and art. Earn half PTSB credit and receive $50 worth of classroom materials.
NCSD teachers are eligible for a $200 BOCES tuition grant. Contact Sarah Schneider at 307-268-3847 for details.
