The WSO is back with the third annual Pops in the Park summer concert featuring the esteemed compositions of John Williams. Christopher Dragon will conduct in his debut as music director of the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra. Join us Saturday, August 24th at the Washington Park band shell for this family-friendly concert event. The gates will open at 5:00, so guests can arrive early and picnic in the park. Music will begin at 7:30. We encourage guests to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and any other supplies needed to sit back and enjoy the evening comfortably. There will not be chairs readily available at the event. Outside food is welcome, though there will be several local vendors with goodies onsite. You can even bring your own adult beverages with the exception of glass bottles — no glass containers whatsoever will be allowed inside of the park. Please leave dogs and other pets at home. Shuttles will run to and from the Beverly Shopping Center throughout the night. For those who are able, we recommend walking, jogging, biking, pogo-sticking, roller blading, unicycling, leapfrogging, or shuttling to the event. Call the office at 266-1478 for information regarding wheelchair accessible and handicap parking for the event. Please visit www.wyomingsymphony.org to learn more.
