The Wyoming Medical Center Foundation will host a groundbreaking ceremony on the new Masterson Place at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, at 310 S. Washington St.
The Masterson Place is Wyoming Medical Center’s hospitality home, offering short- and long-term accommodations for patients and families of Casper’s medical facilities at a cost of $45 per night.
The ceremony will include many remarks from several of the project’s supporters including:
• John and Sue Masterson, Masterson Family Foundation
• Susie McMurry, McMurry Foundation and a WMC Foundation Board Member
• Judy Aurelius, WMC Foundation Board Chairman
• Caryn Dowell, Executive Director of the WMC Foundation.
Special guests include City Manager Carter Napier, Mayor Ray Pacheco, architects from Amundsen Associates, and some of the most dedicated donors to the WMC Foundation. Haass Construction Company was selected to build the facility, expected to open next year.
This $4.8 million project was funded completely through grants and donations, and it has been the focus of the WMC Foundation’s efforts over the past couple of years.
The Masterson Place grew from the vision of Mary Masterson and continues to thrive thanks to her family’s continued support. Presently located at 2325 E. Yellowstone Highway, it serves thousands of patients each year. The new location, directly behind Wyoming Medical Center at the corner of Third and Washington streets, will be a convenient refuge for patients and families seeking medical care in Casper.
We invite the community to join us for this groundbreaking ceremony.
