Join us at the Natrona County Library on Saturday, October 2nd at 2 PM for a special presentation by Casper psychologist, Cheryl Godley, Ph.D. Godley will be discussing the importance of addressing life stress in a healthy manner, as outlined in her book. Through over 25 years of clinical experience and a lifetime living with vision loss, Godley has developed Four Principles for Facing Life's Challenges. Her book uses real life examples and a good deal of humor to provide an easy-to-understand framework for developing effective coping strategies for facing almost any life challenge. During the presentation, an overview of each of the Four Principles will be introduced, along with ways they may be applied in addressing life’s challenges. Individuals will be encouraged to consider ways they may apply the Four Principles to their lives given their individual circumstances. Time at the end of the presentation will be left for questions. This presentation is not therapy, so specific personal concerns will not be addressed. Godley's book will also be available for purchase at the event. Godley has worked as a psychologist in Casper since 1995. The majority of this time has been as a private practitioner consulting with individuals, families, and couples experiencing a wide range of concerns, including life stress, family issues, physical illness and disabilities, grief and loss, and mental illness. Over the years, Godley has combined her clinical experience, her doctoral research, and her own life experience adapting to vision loss to develop the Four Principles. This program is free and open to the public. Call 577-7323 or visit our website for more information.
