As we move closer to the end of summer and the beginning of the school year, preparation for distribution of Wyoming Food for Thought Project's weekend food bags in partnership with NCSD amps up. Last year, we ended the school year by providing over 800 children throughout Natrona County with food bags when they were away from the hunger safety net of school. That's why we're hosting a City-Wide Back 2 School Food Drive in partnership with Townsquare Media, who will direct people to the donations sites through live remotes! We are looking for teams, groups and organizations to help staff and accept food and monetary donations at different donation sites around town from 9am-3pm on Saturday, August 24th. Donation sites include Ridley’s, Hilltop Albertsons, CY Albertsons, Walmart on CY, and Natural Grocers. After 3pm we ask that all sites deliver their haul to our Program Center in north Casper (900 Saint John St.) to be counted, weighed and put away! If you're group or organization is interested in helping with this event, give us a call today at 307.337.1703. If you can't participate, but would still like to contribute to this food drive, consider making an online donation through the link below: https://bit.ly/2TyuISg
