Artcore: Steve Frame at Casper College
You stand at the intersection of Steve Frame and the Western Rebel Sound.
It’s where cool ol’ school music meets a modern edge. A little country. A little Americana. True grit. High energy. Always genuine, just like the west where it roams. Ingredients include a bit of Buck and Dwight, a dash of Johnny Cash, and sprinkles of Steve Earle and Tom Petty, thrown in with his own experiences to drive home a hot sound that has entertained thousands of people in audiences across America. After another 100+ show year in 2016, on top of a 17 year career, Steve Frame and his Western Rebels head out again across the American West, with a brand new CD for 2017, Common Ground.
Steve spent over a decade playing, writing, and recording in Nashville. He relocated to combine his musical talent with his dream of living in and touring across the American West. More recently, Steve has played great events like Cheyenne Frontier Days, College National Finals Rodeo, and at other festivals and fairs, rodeos, bars, clubs, major universities and private shows from Colorado to Washington state. Steve’s catchy songs have seen radio airplay across the country, and his music videos have been a hit on YouTube. His Western Rebel Sound has garnered airplay in Australia and Europe, too. Steve’s songwriting has been complimented by Country Music People (September 2009). Steve has been a guest on Opry Star Spotlight on WSM-AM, the flagship of country radio. He played CMA Fan Fest in Nashville, where he had the privilege of leading the back up band for country legend Johnny Rodriguez.
Of all his achievements, though, Steve considers his greatest one as being able to entertain all types of folks when he plays, no matter the venue, the age, or the taste in music.
